The real and primary cause of the recent holes in the student section is actually incredibly simple. If you seriously think about when these problems began, it was with the 2009 season. Granted, that was when our program began underachieving, but this was not the cause of the student section problem. The real cause of it was the switch from paper to electronic ticketing. Speaking as a former student that experienced both systems, it's obvious. With paper tickets, students were free to buy and sell tickets on the open student market. THIS helped to get unused tickets into the hands of a student that could use it. The student body will NEVER accept the current donation/penalty system. Who wants to go to the trouble to donate their $8 ticket for free to a pool? especially when it has to be done by Wednesday before a game, especially when most students don't decide to go to a game or not til the day before or day of. Taking away the possibility for supply and demand is frankly unamerican.

Return to paper tickets, see the student problem solved. it's that simple.

That's a fair point, although you wouldn't see me complain. Other Georgia fans might, but I'd still rather play decent opponents. I'm not talking about top 10 level teams, but teams that are somewhat decent.

I like that. Maybe given one or two strikes (Georgia has 7 home games next year). And also, if you go to every game during a season, you would be guaranteed tickets for the following season, therefore giving priority for those that actually go to all the games.

As an alum and season ticket holder for the past 13 seasons, I have very little sympathy for students. If going to football games is the most coveted thing on campus, then why can't students pull themselves away from tailgating or get their lazy a$$ out of bed for a 12:30 kick-off? The other 75,000+ fans manage to do it. Give me a break! Maybe students will appreciate games more when they can't get season tickets or have to pay a significant sum of money to get season tickets.

Great preview. The NBA gives a Jew something to look forward to on Christmas. I think the Hawks might even have trouble winning the 2003 finals though, remember how good the Pistons and the Spurs were back then?

I think Crowell will get more carries again against South Carolina, even though he's the back-up. Crowell is more of an every-down back than Samuel is. You can put Richard in to give Crowell a break sometimes, and also use him in short yardage situations.

It doesn't matter who is the starter and back-up, Crowell is going to get the majority of the carries regardless.

But the biggest problem in the running game is that they didn't give the ball to Ken Malcome or Branden Harton AT ALL. I saw Malcome play during G-Day and he looked very good, kind of a mix between Samuel and Crowell. Bigger, but not as fast as IC, but smaller and quicker than Samuel.

Also, I think you gotta get the ball in the hands of Boykin, BSmith, and Malcolm Mitchell on end arounds or reverses to add another wrinkle to the offense

Don't ask me to explain why Bobo did something. It just doesn't make any sense.

But yes, Samuel should be used more on third and short and other short yardage situations. Whereas Crowell needs to get out on the edge, which is where he is very good.
